Terms of use
These terms describe use of the Octoshield website and its local iPhone vault. App distribution and purchases are also subject to the terms shown by Apple.
Using the app
Use Octoshield for files you are entitled to store and manage. You control the content you import, the permissions you grant, and decisions to delete or export files. Review the iOS confirmation prompts before making changes to your photo library.
Local storage and your responsibility
The current vault is device-bound and excluded from backups. There is no recovery service or secret reset. Forgetting your secret, uninstalling, losing your iPhone, or changing devices without exporting can result in permanent loss of access. Maintain an independent copy of irreplaceable files and verify exports before removing any source.
Deletion and copies
Deleting an item from the vault is permanent in the current app. Deleting a photo from Photos normally sends it to Recently Deleted and can affect other devices when iCloud Photos is enabled. Imports do not automatically erase all originals, shared copies, or cloud copies.
Security and availability
The security page explains the implementation and its limits. No app can guarantee protection against every form of device compromise, observation, data loss, or an action you take while files are unlocked. The website’s illustrations are demonstrations and may differ from the released interface.
Downloads and purchases
Octoshield is free to download. Current version availability, device compatibility, purchase terms, and any in-app purchase details are shown in the App Store listing. Apple handles App Store transactions and applicable purchase or refund processes.
Guides and contact
Guides provide general product information. iOS interfaces can change, so follow the labels on your device and consult linked Apple documentation when needed. For support, use the developer contact in the App Store listing. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot be limited under applicable law.
